ABOUT ME
My expertise is in working with the unique challenges that women face, and helping them find their way back to feeling strong and loving life. I have faced my own emotional turmoil and life challenges, many specific to women. I believe that these experiences have allowed me to empathize with and guide others, and for that I am grateful. In addition to being board-certified in psychiatry, I am also board-certified in addiction medicine.
AS WOMEN
Many of my clients come to me during times of difficulty in their lives, such as increased stress, trauma, uncontrollable anxiety, or deep depression. As women, we often face other struggles such as post-partum mood changes, intimate partner violence/abuse, hormonal fluctuations, and caregiver role strain. Considering these when deciding on a treatment option is essential.

MEDICATIONS
Life challenges and difficult emotions can result in feelings of hopelessness and disconnection. Medication management can help bring women empowerment, hope, and the opportunity to return to the best version of themselves.

Women have unique needs, and this is no different when it comes to choosing the right medication. My goal for all clients is to help them feel their very best, without having to struggle with side effects that can occur if taking a medication that isn't right for them.
ABOUT ME
TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE
I understand that trauma lives in the body and the nervous system, not just the mind. Treatment decision-making will honor your pace and prioritize your sense of safety above all else.

I also understand that medication is not the best solution for everyone when it comes to the healing of trauma - I work together with highly qualified therapists for a comprehensive approach.
HOLISTIC VIEW
I believe that to achieve optimal mental health, it is important to treat the whole body. I incorporate approaches such as nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, and sleep/rest into the treatment plan.
Many symptoms can be attributed to hormonal or vitamin/nutrient deficiencies, especially for women, and I consider exploring this to be part of well-rounded treatment, if needed.
SHARED DECISION-MAKING
You are involved in choosing the plan of care that you are most comfortable with, whether it's medication, dosing, psychotherapy, or exploring holistic options. I always provide my honest recommendation, but the decision is yours. It's important each client know that their wishes and preferences are a priority.
